The Record Is Open

Three tracks, one material, and a decision to publish the album while it is still being made.

Most records arrive finished, arranged, and explained. This one is going to arrive in pieces, in the order it gets made, because the thing the album is about does not resolve neatly either.

Ghost in the Frame started as one image: a person who is unmistakably present and somehow not in the picture. Not exiled, not attacked. Edited. The kind of removal that happens in a tone of voice and a seating plan, and that everyone involved would describe as nothing personal.

Three tracks hold that image from different distances. Load-Bearing is the structural version — carrying weight nobody credits you for, and listening for the crack. Ghost in the Frame is the social version, and the loudest. Room Tone is what the building says when you are no longer in it.

The rest of the record is being written now. New tracks will appear here as they are finished, with their lyrics and their material intact. Nothing gets held back for a launch date.
